This Gigantic Robot Kills
Rating: 3.1 | 0 User Reviews | Send to Friend
For a split second, this record seems humble, except for the giant chain saw wielding robot on the album cover but with songs like "True Player Forreal," which features Weird Al Yankovic and "No Logo," that reared it's ugly head through my headphones, it's safe to say MC Lars is truly on the right label -- Crappy Records. This album is what I like to call "beach rap," otherwise known as shitty Asher-Roth rap that serves as the soundtrack for STD swapping on spring break. This album had not one thing to hold onto, not a shred of real hip hop. MC Lars is more about the shout outs to old school pioneers than he is to maintaining any purity in his rap. You can chalk this one up as the most overrated album of the year. Unless you hangout with Boston George and Tuna, then you'll probably have a hard time digesting this one. I almost threw up!(Crappy Records)
