Nike Sportswear has unveiled the first look at collaboration with designer Felipe Oliveria Baptista. Baptista was chosen amongst four other people as part of an upcoming exhibition to give his/her own reinterpretations of five iconic Nike products.

Baptista’s vision is shown here of Nike’s Athletics West hoodie created in 1977, becoming the AW77. The Portuguese designer has a background in couture fashion as well as being recognized for his corky silhouettes and playfulness of simple colors and shapes. Keeping the original idea in mind, [which was the first hoodie designed specifically for runners,] the cut-off sleeves are certainly an engaging aspect, while transforming the piece into a dress takes the hoodie to the next level.
Nike Sportswear will set up pop-up shops in seven European capitols in celebration of the Olympic Games- London, Moscow, Rome, Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Stockholm and Par. The Paris concept is located on a boat showcasing collaborations including Felipe Oliveria Baptista’s AW77, DJ Pedro Winter who will put his twist on the Air Force One, rapper Sefyu on the Air Max 90, Andrea Crews for the Dunk, and Jonas and Francis who will pursue the Windrunner.
On the downside, Baptista's pieces will not be marketed. A standard model will arrive in stores later this month. Be on the look out for more info regarding the exhibition as well.

Nike has so many different aspects of their company and this is just another great addition. The designs are really innovative, I hope the line will be marketed in the future.
