In an age when artists are facebooking and remixing there way into submission, we still don't know who the hell the Modern Mothers are, and we like it that way. We do know, however, that's it's exactly what we needed right know. If Bryan Ferry googled Tommy Rodgers, if Japan played for the minor leagues and the New York Dolls became cowboys, you'd have the Modern Mothers. You can hear the whole album on their scrapbook website, moving polaroids around to reveal the cryptic tracks underneath. Standouts include the ballady "Navy Blue," the snotty KISS-like "Crossing the Line" and "Street Wizard," a nonchalent hiccup of a song that resembles Springsteen in his tough "State Trooper" phase. modern-mothers.com

I guess if a review isn't going to tell you anything about what an album sounds like, it at least can be courteously brief. Kudos!
